Children’s Day is a day which is celebrated with great honor specifically for the children worldwide. As far as India is concerned, this day is celebrated on 14th of November every year which commemorates the birthday of the first Prime Minister of India that is Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who is well-known among children as Chacha Nehru. It is not just about celebrating it in terms of festivities but this particular day tries to renew the commitment that is there for the well-being and the growth of the children of the country to make sure that their future is bright enough to make themselves independent when they grow up.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s love for the children has been well recognized in the books of the history and he was a firm believer of what is known to be the pillars of the nation and those pillars can be found in the future of the children which makes the foundation of any country. He had a profound understanding of education and why it was significant and will remain so even in future for the children. And because of his love for the children, it was started to be observed on the day of his birthday to honor him and give the recognition to all the children and their importance for the nation-building. He had made the point of not only giving the academy education to the children but also nurturing them in such a way that they can become great human beings to contribute to the country in the best possible manner.

The events which are held also include musical and dance performances followed by cultural programs as well as competitions among the children. Children have their special day and because of that, they’re asked to show their talent through their creativity and teachers also encourage them to do different types of activities.

They learn values, ethics and they also get to know the sense of responsibility as they grow. The role of education makes sure that they try to work on their skills in such a manner which can make them work on the right path and always see everything with practicality and challenges.
Parents’ role in shaping the children’s future
It is the responsibility of the parents to make sure that their children understand each and everything that they’re taught in schools because parents have to play their role at home also when children reach after completing their everyday lessons. Parents can help them in learning all the necessary skills to make sure that they are social and friendly with other children and they may also become good human beings. Parents can teach moral values to their children and they may also tell them the importance of other children who can be their good friends in doing any activity which is going to be good for them.
So, it can easily be said that Children’s Day is definitely a special day for all children in the country and it shows how people should remember their importance and how parents should play their role in making sure that children are nurtured in a good environment. If children can be given great importance through education and moral values, they can definitely go ahead and walk on a path which will be straight for them and that will give them great understanding of the world.
